Larry Stephenson Band Makes History with
Oculus Virtual Reality Show
Nashville, Tenn. (February 7, 2022) – Whysper Dream Music is proud to announce the Larry Stephenson Band has made history as the first bluegrass artist to offer an Oculus virtual reality show. The Horizon venue show will be available on February 9, 2022, from 6:00-6:45 pm Pacific time and 8:00 pm CST. Feel the energy of attending live events from the best seat in the house. This show will give the viewer a full 360-degree 3D experience seeing the band as they would in real life, with themselves and the virtual audience represented by avatars. “This will be a very cool experience,” says Larry Stephenson, “and we are beyond thrilled to be the first bluegrass group to be on the cutting edge of this technology moving forward.” The Oculus app has approximately 22 million app users worldwide. Larry Stephenson Gaines Two Prime SPBGMA 2022 Award Nominations
Nashville, TN - January 15, 2022
Larry Stephenson rings in the new year with two prime Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music Association (SPBGMA) Awards. He received nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and Mandolin Performer of the Year Awards.
To kick off the weekend, the Larry Stephenson Band will perform at the World Famous Station Inn, Nashville, Tenn., on Friday, January 28, 2022. On Saturday, January 29, Larry Stephenson's daughter, Whysper, will join the band for a tune during their performance at the SPBGMA convention. The show will feature Whysper's fiddle and vocals talents one year after her first single release from her debut album, Fiddlin' A Lilbit Whyspy.
"The guys and myself are planning some good music for the folks and look forward to the shows over the weekend," said Larry. "I'm glad to have Nick Dauphinais on guitar/vocals, Derek Vaden on banjo/vocals, and Andy Brown on bass."
In 2018, Larry Stephenson was inducted into the prestigious SPBGMA Hall of Greats. He has won numerous SPBGMA awards over the years, including taking home top awards such as Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and more.
Larry Stephenson & David Parmley Team Up For Select Shows
Larry Stephenson joins forces with David Parmley for select stage shows moving forward. As luck would have it for the bluegrass community around the world that enjoys the vocals of David Parmely and Larry Stephenson blended together, you'll now have a chance to see these two in action again.
The shows are to be billed: David Parmley, Larry Stephenson & Friends with their first date in Lexington, KY is set for Saturday, February 26 at the Clarion Hotel for the Bluegrass in the Bluegrass Show. As you can see in this video these two are excited to perform together again.
